As part of the event, the hotel's restaurants and bars will offer special menus using a wide variety of ingredients from Kagoshima Prefecture, such as kurobuta pork, kuroushi beef, yellow tail and kibinago (silver-stripe round herring).

One of the highlights of the fair is the gala dinner. A special course will be prepared by acclaimed chef Masami Hoshina, a guest chef from the Castle Park Hotel, Kagoshima, and Hotel Okura Fukuoka's Executive Chef Yoshiichi Watanabe. Sharing their skills and knowledge, they will introduce regional culture and ingredients from around Kyushu. This is the third time the two hotels are co-hosting such an event, a rarity for hotels from different groups.

The gala dinner will start from 7 p.m. on March 15 in the Heian Room and costs ¥19,000 per person with a drink, service charges and tax included.

The Hotel Okura Fukuoka is five minutes by subway from Hakata Station, accessible from the Nakasu-Kawabata subway station. For more information or reservations, call (092) 262-1111.
