Keio Plaza reunion package
In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo is enhancing its service for reunion parties.
From this month, an exclusive planning support team of staff "Dosokai (reunion) Concierge" has been introduced to advise reunion organizers on budget, size of turnout, etc., and a special new four-hour party package has been introduced starting Jan. 5.
The special set plan of a 2 1/2-hour main party and a 1 1/2-hour follow-up party is ¥10,000 per person, and includes a buffet for the main party, snacks for the follow-up party, drinks, room charge, tax and service charges.
Venues for the party can be chosen from the hotel's various banquet rooms and lounges, or private rooms at hotel restaurants.

New Otani ladies lunch
The Hotel New Otani Tokyo is serving a special teppanyaki lunch course for women at its Sekishin-tei restaurant.
Nestling within the hotel's 400-year-old Japanese garden, the Sekishin-tei is a unique teppanyaki-style restaurant where expert chefs grill a mixture of Japanese, Western and Chinese-style cuisine right in front of you. For the special course, Indian-style crepe dosa are also served.
Specially put together as a winter lunch, the course is designed to warm you from the inside, using ingredients known to raise body temperature, such as ginger, garlic, root vegetables, lean meat and miso. Even the dessert will not cool you down.
The lunch course is targeted at women with the special price of ¥4,725 (¥5,250 for men). The course is offered through Feb. 28, except Dec. 27-Jan. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (till 3 p.m. on Sat., Sun. and national holidays).

Countdown party in Fukuoka
With the holiday season upon us, why not welcome 2011 by singing and dancing the night away in Kyushu?
The Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk will hold Countdown Party 2011 on Dec. 31 at Seala, the 45-meter-high atrium on the hotel's fourth floor.
The party program includes countdown live performances, featuring Fukuoka-based American musician Darryl Smith, who collaborates with vocalist Chris, and bingo games offering special prizes such as vouchers for the Hilton Fukuoka.
The dinner buffet includes light meal dishes, toshikoshi soba (year crossing noodles), desserts and free-flowing drinks. At 11:50 p.m., sparkling wine will be served.
The party is ¥5,060 for adults, ¥2,530 for elementary school children and free for preschool children.
There is also an accommodation plan that includes countdown party tickets and an osechi (traditional New Year's food) buffet breakfast, priced at ¥21,000 per person.
