Spas, cherry blossoms, disco fever and wine-tastings
Ritz Carlton's 'Midday Escape'
Starting April 1, The Ritz Carlton Tokyo will be offering a "Midday Escape" day-spa package, which includes treatments at The Ritz Carlton Spa & Fitness by ESPA, and a meal at The Ritz Carlton Cafe & Deli.
After consulting therapists, your body will be warmed in a hot bath and spacious sauna to enhance the effects of the 60-minute aromatherapy facial or body treatment. And after that, it's off to The Ritz Carlton Cafe & Deli for a relaxing meal.
The package, price ¥19,900, is available between 9 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., through Aug. 31. Reservations are required.

Cherry-blossom season menus
The Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka is serving a variety of menus for the cherry-blossom season, through April 19.
At the kaiseki restaurant Kioi, the Sakura Gozen lunch set, featuring seasonal delicacies, is ¥5,000, between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
At the lobby lounge Marble Square, a cherry-blossom theme tea set (¥1,500), baked cheesecake (¥600), roll cake (¥800) and pudding (¥650) are available between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The bakery shop Boulangerie Akasaka offers cherry-blossom theme takeout menus ideal for hanami flower-viewing parties. The Sakura Lunch Box (¥780), which includes two types of bread, pasta, mini salad and dessert, is available between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on weekdays. The Sakura Amuse (¥4,800), an assortment of 18 bite-size morsels, allows you to sample what the hotel's main restaurant, Le Trianon, has to offer. Sakura Amuse needs to be ordered two days prior to pickup.

Saturday night fever
The Grand Hyatt Tokyo will hold "Baby Club Chic 2009 Spring" on April 11.
"Club Chic" is the hotel's popular semiannual disco event featuring '70s dance classics, held in the Grand Ballroom. Baby Club Chic, in the Coriander junior ballroom, is a scaled-down version.
Tickets are ¥10,000, including unlimited wine, sparkling wine and soft drinks. The party starts at 9 p.m. and continues until 1 a.m. Guests are asked not to wear jeans or sneakers.

Kobe wine tasting
The Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers will hold a wine-tasting event on Sunday, April 19, at the sports pub Arena.
More than 40 kinds of wines recommended for spring will be available for tasting, as well as hors d'oeuvres, a main dish and cheese. You will also be able to buy your favorite wine at a 20 percent discount.
Admission is ¥5,000. The event is held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 to 5:30 p.m., each with a capacity of 40 guests.
