The Peninsula Tokyo is offering a Degustation Dinner Plate at The Lobby restaurant.

Four of the day's finest dishes from land and sea, served with a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne and dessert, will showcase chef Jun Ishii's signature flair all in one course, for ¥4,500.

The Lobby is also holding a "Snack Galore" promotion, which is perfect for those who want a quick drink or two, and a bite to eat. Through Oct. 31, with every glass of beer or wine (from ¥750), you will receive a free side dish, such as French fries with spicy mayonnaise, Mexican nachos, etc.

The Degustation Dinner Plate (pictured) is available between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., and Snack Galore between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The Peninsula Tokyo is connected to the Hibiya and Yurakucho subway stations and is a three-minute walk from Ginza Station.

Hilton Marble Lounge gala

To celebrate the first anniversary of the Hilton Tokyo's renovated Marble Lounge, the hotel is inviting guests to enjoy a glass of champagne and the popular Chocolate & Cheese Buffet at a special discount price.

There will be a wide selection of chocolate, cakes, including tiramisu and opera cake, a 1.5-meter chocolate fountain, and over 20 types of cheeses from more than 10 different countries, along with breads and quiches.

The buffet is ¥3,900 per person, including a glass of champagne, and is available Sept. 20 and from Sept. 25 to 27, between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The Hilton Tokyo is a two-minute walk from Exit C8 of Nishi-Shinjuku Station or a 10-minute walk from the West Exit of Shinjuku Station.

Pacific Northwest wine tasting

Orca International wine importers will hold a major Pacific Northwest wine tasting party on Sept. 11 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Roti restaurant in Roppongi, Tokyo.

You'll have a chance to taste some 70 wines from more than 15 wineries in Washington and Oregon, and winemakers Alex Sokol Blosser (Sokol Blosser winery) and Steve Thomson (King Estate) will be on hand to answer questions. The evening will also include a buffet dinner and live acoustic guitar music from Isao Ohashi.
