Air Vase

Torafu Architects create more than just buildings, although whatever they design, there's always a strong sense of structure. The Air Vase is no exception. Described as a paper bowl that "enfolds air," it's a delicate but sturdy structure, which, more decorative than practical, can hold light items and encase others. Made of perforated stiff paper, it simply unfolds and can be manipulated into different shapes. A pack of three costs ¥1,260 and they can be found in selects stores or on the Caina online store.

Multi Notebook

What better gift than that of organization? Which is what the Multi Notebook (¥1,080) is all about. Produced by art director Hideo Kawamura's Rezon brand of graphic design goods, the book's pages are split into six different types of Rezon notepad paper, such as squared, vocab list and even sticky notes. Another great stocking filler from Rezon the Eco Warrior Bag (¥1,700 or ¥4,400 for the premium edition) — a tote brandishing a wrestler's mask design.
