Staff writer
This weekend, the galleries of the Nihombashi district unite to host Tokyo Art & Antiques, an event that comprises tours and lectures for art lovers in a variety of languages. One of the highlights will be a gallery tour with a guide. For those who want to know more about art, there will be talk events and some will be translated from Japanese into other languages. One of the exhibitions called "Tokyo Skytree × Sorino Aru Katachi (shapes with curves)" will be held at Takashimaya department store. Forty sculptures and photos of Tokyo Sky Tree, which is currently under construction, will be on display. Kiichi Sumikawa, the tower's codesigner, will join a talk event on April 29. Tokyo Art & Antiques takes place from April 27-29 in Tokyo. The gallery tour costs ¥5,800 including lunch. For more details, visit www.tokyoartantiques.com.
