TOKYOA feast for the eyesBy TOMOKO OTAKE
Staff writer
Florence Roca, a Tokyo-based porcelain painter, is collaborating with fellow French expat Olivier Oddos of Chez Olivier in presenting a special November menu at the popular French bistro in Ichigaya, Tokyo. Roca, who goes by Fleur d'Huytesa, is decorating every plate to be used during the monthlong event, which features four courses including foie gras and fish. Opening night on Nov. 2 will include explanations on how this joint project came about. At the end of the night, three lucky raffle winners will receive the artist's hand-painted china. Dinner costs ¥7,000 per person, ¥9,000 on Nov. 2 (to cover the raffle). Reservations are strongly recommended. For more information, call Chez Olivier at (03) 6268-9933 or e-mail the artist at fleurdhuytesa@yahoo.fr.
