Friday, June 25, 2010 Artists offer wares at Kobe swap shop for a song and a danceBy TOMOKO HORI
Staff writer
Two German artists hope to bring bartering back to Kobe. Artists Anja Fussbach and Marion Bosen will display their wares and operate a swap shop at Cap Studio Y3 in Kobe's Chuo Ward from June 26-July 18. They will showcase silk screen prints, photographs and more. Visitors who wish to buy their works must offer them something other than money. It can be recommendations of good restaurants in Kobe, intriguing personal stories or even a song and a dance. Their items will be on display for the entire period from 10 a.m. till 7 p.m., but the swap shop will be open only from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday. Cap Studio Y3 is a 15-minute walk from Motomachi Station on the JR Kobe Line, and closed on Monday. For more information, visit www.cap-kobe.com
