Everything must go: The Tollman Collection, Tokyo, will sell many works at a discount this weekend.

Tolman Collection holds art clearance sale

Staff writer

Some people might be interested in buying artwork, but hefty price tags can often scare them away.

The Tolman Collection in Tokyo might alleviate this fear with a clearance sale of sorts.

Recognized as the largest publisher in contemporary graphic art, the gallery opened in 1975 and has branches in New York, Singapore and Shanghai.

Until Feb. 14, the gallery will offer more than 100 framed prints at a 20 percent to 40 percent discount as it needs more space for new prints that are currently in storage. The artworks on sale are from more than 20 different artists and include "Umbrella Reflections" by Clifton Karhu and "Reunion VIII" by Shinichi Nakazawa.

The Tolman Collection, Tokyo, is open from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. at 2-2-18 Shiba Daimon, Minato Ward. For information, call 03-3434-1300.
