Breuer has exhibited widely throughout the United States and Europe, and his work is in collections around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. His publication "SMTWTFS" earned a Photo-eye Award for Best Photography Book of 2002.

Breuer describes his work as photographic sketches created by bringing photographic paper into physical contact with everyday objects like razor blades and paint strippers and by hitting the paper, for example with projectiles from slingshots.

"Notes, Queries" begins April 21 at 7 p.m. at the International House of Japan Lecture Hall, 5-11-16 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, a 5-minute walk from Azabu-Juban Station on the Toei Oedo and Nanboku lines (Exit 7) or a 10-minute walk from Roppongi Station on the Hibiya and Toei Oedo lines (Exit 3).

Admission to the lecture is free, but the IHJ requests that reservations be made (tel. [03] 3470-3211).
