Choreography of body adaptation
Off Nibroll, a new dance company, will present a duo dance performance in Yokohama from May 20 to 29, looking into the theme of how people adapt their bodies to different situations -- both public and private -- in different cultures and environments.
Mikuni Yanaibara and Australian Jo Lloyd, will choreograph and perform the dance "public = un+public" at the 1929 Hall of the BankART 1929 Yokohama.
Shio Otani, who studied dance in Australia, will be in charge of costumes.
The performance schedule is as follows: May 20-21, 7:30 p.m.; May 22, 2 p.m.; May 27-28, 7:30 p.m. and May 29, 2 p.m.
There will be a party after the May 20 performance for all ticketholders. Admission is 2,000 yen. Call (045) 663-2812 or visit: www.bankart1929.com.
The 1929 Hall of the BankART 1929 Yokohama (6-50-1 Honcho, Naka-ku) is close to Exit 1b of Bashamichi Station on the Minato Mirai subway line.
