Bulgarian chorus strikes a chord

A chorus of 13 Bulgarian female singers will perform in Tokyo's Roppongi Hills Arena on the nights of Dec. 23-25.

In Bulgarian folk-choral singing, which is characterized by its complex rhythms, the different voices collide, creating a complex and powerful sound.

The 13 singers have been specially selected from different singing groups for the upcoming performances.

Performances of "Holy Night Concert in Roppongi Hills -- Voix Bulgares" will be held Dec. 23-25 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and will last 40 min. Admission is free. Roppongi Hills Arena is a 5-min. walk from Roppongi subway station.
