A treat for a Sunday afternoon

A sencha (nonpowdered green tea) ceremony will be held Nov. 28 in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture.

The event will be held in four sessions -- noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. -- at the Toryu-an Teahouse at Junsai Ike Ryokuchi (4-461 Naka Kokubun, Ichikawa-shi, Chiba-ken).

The fee is 1,000 yen. Call (047) 372-1332 for reservations. To get to the venue, take the No. 9 minibus (for Kokubun Sosha-jo) from the North Exit, Ichikawa Station, JR Sobu Line, and get off at Junsai Ike Shita; or take the No. 1 Keisei bus (for Matsudo Shako) to Kokuritsu Byoin-mae and walk 5 mins.
