Puppeteer pulls the right strings

Miyako Kurotani, who trained in the Czech Republic as a puppeteer, will present a solo puppet play Dec. 3-5 in Tokyo and Dec. 11-12 in Hiroshima.

The play is titled "Hangetsu (Half Moon)." Made up of four stories, it deals alternately with the despair and hope of a woman who lost love.

The Tokyo schedule is: Dec. 3, 8 p.m., Dec. 4, 6 p.m. and Dec. 5, 4 p.m. at Gazavie in Nishi Ogikubo (5-9-12 Nishi Ogi Kita; tel. [03] 3395-0133).
