Free tickets for orchestral concerts

Ten free pairs of tickets are available for readers of The Japan Times to attend an orchestral concert at Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall on Dec. 13.

In the NEC Community Concert, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ichiro Saito will perform the overture from Weber's opera "Oberon" and Dvorak's "From the New World" Symphony.

Takashi Saito, an up-and-coming young pianist, will join the orchestra to play Beethoven's "Emperor" Piano Concerto.

The concert will start at 7 p.m. Readers of The Japan Times who would like to receive tickets should send a post office-issued ofuku hagaki (return postcard) to:

NEC Community Concert-kakari, The Japan Times-kakari, NEC Shakai Koken-shitsu, 5-7-1 Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo 108-8001. The deadline is Nov. 18.

On the sender's side, be sure to include your name, address and telephone number; on the return side, please write your name and address.

Applicants will be notified by return postcard if they are successful.

Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall is a 3-min. walk from JR Kawasaki Station, West Exit.
