Global performers hit Roppongi

Performers selected from around the globe will show off their skills in a series of admission-free events at Tokyo's Roppongi Hills through Nov. 7.

Visitors may watch a trampoline acrobatic show, encounter a "sharkman," or see a sculpture suddenly come to life.

Most of the performances will be held at 66 Plaza, West Walk and other locations in Roppongi Hills. Performances may canceled in the case of rain.

The schedule of "World Street Performance in Autumn" is as follows:

* Unity Production (from the U.S.) Oct 15-18, 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Statues of a businessman and golfer suddenly come to life.

* Chrome (from Australia) Oct. 20-24, 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

"Sharkmen" tease viewers in broken Japanese.

* Tiramisu (from the Netherlands) Oct. 27-31, 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Three people in stunning costumes, wearing stilts, juggling and doing acrobatics, march playing musical instruments.

* Voevoda Family (from the Ukraine) Nov. 3-7, 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
