Baroque experts plan rare concert

Collegium Musicum Telemann, who usually specialize in Baroque music, will give a rare concert of contemporary music on July 16, played on period instruments.

The group will play Koh Chang Su's "Pseudo Classic Suite," Shinichiro Nakano's "Concerto for Harpsichord, Strings & b.c. G-major," Satoshi Omae's "Come il Vento Passa per Solo Shakuhachi ed Archi," and Lee Geonyong's "Song in the Dusk for Haegum and Baroque Strings."

The haegum is a Korean stringed instrument.

The show starts at 7 p.m. at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in Ueno.

Advance tickets are 3,500 yen for adults, 1,500 yen for university students and 1,000 yen for high-school students and senior citizens. Same-day tickets cost 4,000 yen for adults. To reserve, call 0120-332-869.
