Asahi offering koto concert tickets

Asahi Breweries, Ltd., is inviting 150 pairs of people to a koto concert on June 10 and another 150 to a performance of contemporary music on July 9 in Tokyo free of charge.

The June 10 concert will feature Karin Nakagawa, who will play contemporary koto music on a 25-string koto.

The July 9 concert will feature Brass Extreme Tokyo, a five-member group of two trumpets, a French horn, trombone and tuba that will play contemporary music for brass instruments.

The venue for both concerts is the first-floor lobby of the Asahi Beer Honbu Building (1-23-1 Azumabashi, Sumida-ku), a five-minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Ginza subway line.

Those interested can apply by regular mail or e-mail. Those applying by regular mail must send an ofuku-hagaki (return postcard) to: 6-gatsu-10-ka-kakari (for June 10) or 7-gatsu-9-ka-kakari (July 9), Asahi Beer Lobby Concert Jimukyoku, CAN, Noa Shibuya Part 2-601, 36-22 Udagawa-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-0042.

Please include name, address, age and telephone number on the back of the outgoing part and name and address on the front of the return portion.

The application deadlines are May 20 for the koto concert and June 20 for Brass Extreme.
