Your invitation to tango
The Tokyu Group is inviting 2,000 pairs of people to two Argentine tango concerts to be held May 25-26, 7 p.m., at the Orchard Hall in Shibuya.
Seventeen Argentine musicians -- the Orquesta Nocturna de Buenos Aires and Corporacion Tango, and Jorge Cumbo, a leading figure in Andean music -- will be joined by Japan's leading bandoeon player Ryota Komatsu and Japanese tango group Orquesta Tipica.
As well as the music, they will also talk about the history and charms of Argentine tango.
Anyone interested should send a postcard or fill out an application form for the free tickets at www.tokyu-group.co.jp/
The postcard must be addressed to: Argentine Tango-karai, Tokyo Kyuko Dentetsu, 5-6 Nanpeidai-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-8511, and must arrive on or before April 20.
On the card, state your name, address (including zip code), the desired concert date (May 25 or 26), age and telephone number. Preschool children will not be allowed entry.
