Othello prepares to invade Tokyo
The Royal Shakespeare Company will present its new production of Othello in Tokyo from April 15.
In the production, directed by Gregory Doran, Antony Sher plays Iago, Sello Maake ka Ncube takes on the role of Othello and Desdemona is played by Lisa Dillon. The play is set in the mid-20th century and the men appear in khaki military uniform.
The performance schedule is:
1 p.m. on April 17, 18, 21, 24, 25, 28, 29, and 7 p.m. on April 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27 and 28 at Le Thea^tre Ginza.
2 p.m. on May 14 and 15 at Saitama Arts Theater.
