Nikon unveils winning photos

Ten pairs of Japan Times readers will be invited to an exhibition of the prize-winning photographs from the Nikon Photo Contest International, to be held March 12-28 in Tokyo.

The exhibition will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, where about 150 photos from the 2002-03 contest will be shown, along with winning photographs from past contests. Cameras manufactured by Nikon will also be displayed.

The 2002-2003 contest saw photos solicited for the first time from inside Japan. Photographers from 102 countries submitted more then 26,000 photographs for the contest.

Anyone interested in free tickets should send a postcard to: Nikon Sakuhin-ten Go-shotai-ken, The Japan Times-kakari, 9-8-212 Yonban-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 102-0081.

Senders must include name, address, age, occupation and telephone number. The card must arrive on or before Feb. 27.

Nikon Photo Contest International: Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Ebisu Garden Place (1-13-3 Mita, Meguro-ku. [03] 3280-0099). 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (until 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays); closed on Mondays. Tickets 500 yen for adults, 400 yen for college students, 200 yen for junior- and high-school students or people 65 and older.
