Theater troupes to gather in Tokyo
Theatrical troupes and performers hailing from all over Japan will strut their stuff through March 2 at Komaba Agora Gekijo theater in Tokyo as part of its "Fuyu no Samitto (Winter Summit)" series.
The series will feature 12 shows by performers from Tokyo, Fukushima, Osaka, Kitakyushu, Ako (Hyogo Prefecture), Sendai, Kyoto and other places.
From Jan. 16 to 18, the Seinendan Link Chiten troupe will presents three plays by contemporary Norwegian playwright Jon Fosse: "The Name," "Sleep You Little Child of Mine," and "A Summer's Day."
On Jan. 24 and 25, the Manrui Tori King Ichiza troupe from Fukushima will present "Sayonaraga-Oka (Goodbye Hill)."
