Dozen stops feature in subway tour

A tour of the Oedo subway line covering 12 stations and their vicinities will be conducted Dec. 21 to highlight points of interest often overlooked by the average commuter.

The tour will start at 10:50 a.m. at the ticket gate to Higashi Shinjuku Station. The areas to be visited include Ushigome Kagurazaka, Iidabashi, Kachidokibashi, Shiodome, Daimon, Akabanebashi, Roppongi and Kokuritsu Kyogijo stations. Participants must buy a one-day pass and pay for lunch. The tour ends around 4:40 p.m.

Anyone interested should send a post office-issued ofuku hagaki to: Somu Honbu PT-gakari, Tokyo-to Chikatetsu Kensetu, TN Koishikawa Bldg., 1-15-17 Koishikawa, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 112-0022. The card must be postmarked on or before Dec. 11. Thirty-five people will be accepted.

The sender must include name, address, age, occupation and telephone number, and write the phrase "Oedo-sen 12-eki meguri, 12 gatsu 21 nichi (nichiyobi)" on the back of the outgoing portion of the card. Name and address must also be included on the front of the return portion.
