Free tickets for Dvorak concert
A thousand pairs of free tickets are being given away for the Tokyu Great Composers Series concert on Oct. 6, featuring the music of Antonin Dvorak, at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo.
The concert starts at 7 p.m., with Shigeo Genda conducting the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and soloist Nobuko Yamazaki on cello.
The program will feature Slavic Dance No. 1 in C Major, the second and fourth movements of Symphony No. 9 (From the New World), Als die alte Mutter mich noch lehrte singen, and Cello Concerto B Minor (Op. 104).
To get tickets, send a post office-issued postcard with name, age, address, zip code and telephone number to Tokyo Kyuko Dentetsu Tokyu Great Composers-gakari, Nanpeidai-cho 5-6, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-8511. The postcard must arrive on or before Sept. 4. Preschoolers will not be allowed to attend the concert.
