Free tickets for a disastrous day out

The National Museum of Japanese History (Kokuritsu Minzoku Rekishi Hakubutsukan) in Sakura, Chiba Prefecture, is giving away 50 pairs of tickets for its exhibition "Documentary History of Disasters 1703-2003 -- Earthquakes, Eruptions, Tsunami and Reconstruction," running through Sept. 21.

To apply, send an official postcard to The Japan Times-gakari, Dokyumento Saigai-shi PR Jimukyoku, 2-25-18 Azabu Palace Bldg., Nishi Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo 106-8611.

The sender must write his or her name, age, address, telephone number and occupation on the postcard, which must be postmarked no later than Aug. 31.
