Book early for Zen brush workshop
The second International Hitsuzendo (Way of the Zen Brush) Workshop will be held in Tokyo and Ibaraki Prefecture in mid-September.
The introductory session will take place Sept. 10 at Olympic Center in Tokyo's Yoyogi district. The workshop will then move to the Hitsuzendo Tsuka Dojo in Ibaraki Prefecture the next day and close on Sept. 15.
Hitsuzendo is based on the tenets of Zen, Ken (swordsmanship) and Sho (calligraphy), which are linked by their common emphasis on breathing techniques, use of ki (vital energy) and focus on the tanden (the spiritual center of the body).
Reservations for the workshop must be booked by July 23, and eight people from Britain and Mexico have already signed up. For more information or to make a reservation, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
