Koto concerts to mark new release

Composer and koto player Yuka Hosaka will hold free concerts at Tokyo's Odaiba district on June 22 to commemorate the release of her new album, "Libertango."

Hosaka's CD features Astor Piazzolla's "Libertango" and two original compositions.

To mark the occasion, Hosaka will play 40-minute sets 2-4 p.m. at the Kyokai Hiroba (church plaza) at Venus Fort, accompanied by keyboard, electric organ, violin, drums and percussion.

The venue is near Aomi Station on the Yurikamome Line.
