Charlie Chaplin flicks by the dozenThe Yurakucho Subaruza movie theater in Tokyo will start showing a series of 12 Charlie Chaplin movies from Saturday through Aug. 8. Discount tickets for the "Love Chaplin" series are 1,500 yen for one showing and are on sale until Friday. The theater, in front of the Hibiya Exit of JR Yurakucho Station, will also be selling 6,000 yen tickets (valid for five showings) the same day. Full price tickets are 1,800 yen. "The Kid" (1921) and "The Modern Times" (1936) will be shown from Saturday through June 13; "A Woman of Paris" (1923) and "The Gold Rush" (1925) from June 14-27, and "The Circus" (1928) and "City Lights" (1931) from June 28-July 11. "Shoulder Arms" (1918) and "The Great Dictator" (1940) will be shown from July 12-18; "Dog's Life" (1918) and "Monsieur Verdoux" (1947) from July 19-25; and "The Idle Class" (1921) and "Limelight" (1952) from July 26-Aug. 8.
