'It will be a very good show'
By SIMON BARTZ
Brazilian band CSS pulled off a blinder at Fuji Rock this year.
I had a chat with singer Lovefoxxx, who was in a great mood. Her smile is a killer, and she spoke of the logistics involved in shipping her family over to Britain for her upcoming wedding with Klaxons' guitarist Simon Taylor.
When you woke up this morning, what was the first thing that came into your head?
Very hungry. Drank too much green tea. I got pizza, but it looked weird with mayonnaise all over it. Yuck!
Why do you wear a bodysuit at every show?
It puts me in the mood. It looks like a surfer's outfit. A dress limitates (sic) a bit. A bodysuit makes me feel I can surf the crowd more easy — and it's funny!
Do you know any Detroit soul music?
I bought an old record by The Supremes called "You Keep Me Hangin' On," and the vinyl was broken because it's an old record and it just jumped in that spot, but I really like that song . . .
Just before you go on stage, do you pray?
No. We chant together: "It will be a very good show."
