I'm going to Hiroshima to see the war museum, and also to Miyajima. I know it's going to be very busy in Golden Week, so I'd like to get away from the hustle-bustle of the city.

Part-time worker, 40s
I would like to go somewhere far away during Golden Week, but they say that the gas prices are going up again, so I think I'll stay in the area and visit places near where I live.

Songwriter, 24 (Japanese)
I'm playing guitar every day in different parts of Tokyo, such as Ueno Park. I also have an in-store live show coming up in May for Ovation guitars, so I'm going to be preparing for that.

I'm working, like most people in my line of work. I normally take Tuesdays off but will be working this time because sales can be twice as high during Golden Week.

Shafi Malik
Restaurateur, 25 (British)
I'm going with a friend to Malaysia. We're going to go to the beach. I heard things are crazy here in Golden Week, and that ticket prices are going to be more expensive.

Shana Walker, 29 (Canada)
Sign-language instructor
I was planning to go to Canada, but had to cancel because I just got a new job and was told that it wasn't a good idea to leave the country. I might take a trip to Hokkaido.
