With winter season here and warm-biz in full swing, Stephanie Hannon asks for your fashion preferences

I mix and match designer and high street fashion and prefer to have a semi-formal image. I like to look girly and feel more comfortable wearing fitted clothes and high heels.

I usually buy designer shoes and handbags, but not clothes. Maybe that's a typically Japanese thing to do. I think the best thing to do is go to discount stores to buy label clothing.

I think I will be buying high street clothes. Everyone seems to be wearing Louis Vitton, but I don't like big logos. They remind me of "chavs." That's definitely not a good look.
Laura Garsten
Student, 18
I don't buy name brands. I prefer the street fashion you can buy in Harajuku and sometimes buy secondhand clothes. I like alternative styles and try not to look like everyone else.
Jim Pearson
Trader, 37
Designer clothes are more likely for me. I am planning on changing my image. I would like to go more upmarket. I'm not sure which brands; it's more the overall image that's important to me.

I'll definitely be buying designer. I have just been shopping in Omotesando for a new skirt. Some people have problems with sizes in Japan. Designer clothes usually run into large sizes.
