Gardens in Autumn

Gardens in Autumn

Director: Otar Iosseliani

Language: French

Ota Iosseliani's latest feature is a chilled-out drama about a middle-age government minister who is forced to resign his job after a slip of the tongue in public.

Vincent (Severin Blanchet) not only loses his job, but also his wife, lover and house in one day. Having nowhere to go he returns to his hometown, where he discovers the simple joys of a bohemian life — he drinks with his old mates, plays guitar, chats with pretty girls, and so on. "Gardens in Autumn" explores the pleasure of life and absurdity of the human condition with humor.
