Director: Michael Hoffman
Set on the infamous day in baseball history when the Red Sox met disaster at the hands of the Mets in the 1986 World Series, "Game 6" follows a day in the life of playwright Nicky Rogan (Michael Keaton). On the opening day of his latest play, Rogan, a lifelong Red Sox fan, is facing his own impending disasters: His wife is divorcing him; a notorious play-killing critic (Robert Downey Jr.) is reviewing his production; the lead actor can't remember his lines — and more. In step with the Red Sox's meltdown, Nicky's life heads for the pits. Written by the novelist Don DeLillo, this is a witty, offbeat, low-budget comedy.
