Hyogo Prefectural Museum presents the work of influential Japanese photographer, Nakaji Yasui (1903-1942), for its third exhibition in a series showcasing the museum's collection.
In 2010, a new portfolio of Yasui's work, which was designed to reintroduce the photographer to the public, was compiled from reprints of his original negatives. This show presents images that are featured in the new publication, as well as a number of Japanese and foreign magazines and books that Yasui used as reference materials. On Dec. 17 and Feb. 5, the museum curators will also hold a guided tour and lecture to help visitors better understand the exhibition; till March 11.
