"Exhibition as media" is a series of art projects planned and implemented by the Kobe Art Center in collaboration with Kansai-based artists. The 2011 exhibition features Osaka native Tetsuya Umeda, who uses home electronics to create works focusing on light, sound and movement. He is also known for impromptu live performance pieces and has participated in many music festivals in both Asian and European countries. Using the gallery, studio and theater spaces of the center, Umeda showcases new experimental installations. An artist's talk and live performances are also planned; Nov. 12-Dec. 4.
