Publishing

Publishing

The Japan Times Publications Department made its debut in July 1967 with "Group Discussions on Topics of the Day" by Toru Matsumoto. Since then our publication activities have centered mainly on books on business English and language-study materials. The Publications Department produces a wide variety of foreign-language books for non-Japanese readers. In particular, our textbooks for studying Japanese are highly valued by students of the language not only at home but also abroad. We also undertake contract printing on a total production basis covering the whole process from planning to final print run. Our work centers on requests from government ministries, agencies, local public autonomous bodies, international conferences, businesses, think tanks and various other organizations seeking English-language booklets, periodicals, news bulletins, daily news sheets and reports.
