Message to young people
In everything you do, do your best and enjoy it. And don’t forget there is always someone with you who will do their best for you and pray for your success.

When I was a child, my parents got divorced and I was raised by my mother single-handedly. I was the oldest of three children. When I was young, I dreamed of becoming an anchor person at a TV station. But during my college years, my sister fell from a tree and she had to have surgery. But our family didn’t have enough money, so I gave up studying at university and decided to work in Japan.

There I met my future husband. We wanted to raise our children in my home country, so we decided to emigrate to the Philippines. We wanted to keep my husband’s Japanese name, “Matsuda,” in the Philippines and we started our business. We have tried various kinds of business, including a taxi company, karaoke and entertainment. When our karaoke business went under, we started a hotel. Running a hotel incorporates everything that we had experienced in the past.

We targeted the Japanese who are often said to be pickier than any other people around the world. So we thought that if we were recognized by Japanese people, other nationalities would follow. I was also lucky that my Japanese husband had some strong connections. As a result, our business has become very successful.

I think the most important val

ue in management is people. You cannot do anything by yourself. Fortunately, we are lucky to have competent and wonderful staff at our hotel. I will strive to create comfortable hotels for the future.
