Message to young people
Have an interest in the things you want to accomplish, and realize those goals with high ideals in mind. It is imperative that you always have objectives. Like mountain climbing, it is important not to give up mid-way and persevere till the end.

I have seven siblings and was born to a very loving family. Apart from one of my younger brothers and I, all of my brothers became doctors. Following the wishes of my father, I decided to enroll in Ho Chi Minh City Architecture University.

Upon graduation, I became a lecturer at Bach Khoa University. After a while, I began to question the notion of “theory over practice,” and decided to join the military for three years.

My opportunity came when I quit the military. In 1991, the government began to issue provisions that would support small- and mid-size firms. I started my company then and focused at first on building homes, offices and designing interiors for foreign clients.

Initially, there were only eight staff members, including myself, and the company had many difficulties arising from a lack of experience. However, after returning from Singapore in 1993 I realized that Vietnam’s interior design is world class, which prompted me to make that the company’s focus.

Much of our work is on-site. It is a job that cannot be done without a love of interior design. What’s important is pride toward one’s work and pride toward one’s country. My ultimate goal is to make the company a high-quality furniture company that specializes in interior design. I don’t want us to rest on our laurels. We should keep doing our best to provide high-quality services.
